The Rotel RT-940AX tuner is designed to offer life like sound and is a natural extension to the love of music. Introduced and built between 1995-2001, the RT-940AX offers up to 20 preset radio stations in the memory which is alot. Despite its simple looks and not having a large number of service functions, the tuner is not simple. Being produced by the Rotel firm which is known for designing and manufacturing high quality, high performance audio electronics for more than 30 years, this tuner has very good characteristics that ensures reliable reception of radio stations and high-quality music to the hifi system. It is also equipped with a remote control for convenience. The Rotel RT-940AX sounds clear and detailed, with none of the horrible compression that people seem to get normally with tuners. One peak inside the chassis shows a large circuit board with plenty of build quality. Stereo broadcasts sound defined. AM reception is also good. Even before connecting the FM or AM inside antenna wires the reception seems near perfect.
