Description :
The Audio Note M1 is a full function tube preamplifier that represents an uncompromising solution to the problem of low-cost, high-performance music playback systems. It has a very simple design and clean layout on the circuit, with a single tube and not many complicated components around it. The M1 has great compatibility with other audio equipment. Many tube preamplifiers can be costly but without a good match of the rest of the components, it spoils the value of the expensive preamplifier. On the other hand, when the M1 placed in a top end hifi set, it is difficult to tell if the Audio Note M1 is the one pulling down the overall value of the system.

The sonic signature of the Audio Note M1 is fullbodied, clear and highly musical with rich details. The amplifier makes listening to music itself possible rather than hifi equipment. It gives a well proportioned sound image and the entire sound spectrum a buttery but solid feeling that has a full and rich valve color. Violin sounds richer than reality and vocals sound heavenly. Multi-layered harmonics from the mixed chorus sound grandiose, like the echoes in a Medieval stone cathedral. When playing difficult high-octane music, the M1 will do a very tactful job of toning down the abrasiveness and rounding off the edges. The Audio Note M1 is a respectable performer that emphasizes the vital parts of music very well.
