Description :
The Jadis DA50 Signature is a new generation of integrated amplifiers from Jadis Electronics. It is definitely a big upgrade to Jadis Orchestra in every way. Its chassis is surgical stainless steel, looking aesthetically pleasing and is hard-wearing, guaranteeing the permanence of the amplifier. The transformers are hand-made on a digital winding machine, following a strict quality control by Jadis. The amplifier is designed to accept the new production of KT88, one of the largest tubes in its class that can handle significantly higher plate voltages than similar tubes, up to 800 volts. Although the unit can be fitted with the other tubes like KT90 and 6550, it requires rebiasing. Small integrated Jadis amplifiers like the Orchestra and DA50 are quite tolerable in heat generation. Since the DA50 Signature is a Pure Class A design, almost any over 90dB speaker is compatible with it. Driving larger speakers like Proac 3.8 is also fine which was done in a Stereophile show and did not sound underpowered at all. The sound of the Jadis DA50 Signature is lush, fleshed-out, organic and very musical. It is also rich in detail, liquidity, and has an overall more relaxed presentation that many an audiophile will equate with.
