The Jeff Rowland Concentra II amplifier boasts a truly luxurious level of build and finish. The silver faceplate is a gorgeous diamond milled piece of aluminum 20mm thick. Aluminum is also used for the substantial chassis and top and bottom plates and the solid side panels. The top and sides feature special raised sections and cutouts to combat unwanted resonance. The entire case functions as an airtight heatsink. Artistry, grace, and function remain the basic tenets of the exterior form. The timeless design of the Jeff Rowland Concentra II incorporates features to soothe the senses. Its placid blue display, the gentle fluidity of the volume control, and the smooth curves of the non-resonant chassis combine to form an engaging whole that stimulates the visual and tactile senses as much as the aural. Yet the sculpted exterior is still adept at performing the essential functions demanded of it with high performance: heat dissipation, resonance control, and isolation. Output current capability has been increased by 50% compared to its predecessor, and the unit features better noise and distortion performance. The power supply layout gives a quiet source of power, and also has a separate front-end supply. The layout is circuit board based and features increased common mode rejection as well as offering better isolation between different portions of the amplifier, lowering radiated fields and noise.
