The Yamaha NS-1000M is one of Yamaha's top-end series, built with high quality Beryllium domes, with a process not so distant from the one used for the V-FET transistors. The speakers do not compromise quality and Yamaha does not spare any expense at producing speakers with beryllium drivers. Beryllium metal is better than most metals in a sense that it has the best stiffness and weight compared to the usual aluminum or even titanium, but they are an extremely difficult type of metal to work with. Yamaha had to vaporise and deposit the beryllium onto a mould in a vacuum so that audiophiles can enjoy the best they deserve. The midrange, tweeter, woofer are made of beryllium with gigantic magnet using high end technology, resulting minimal distortion in the Yamaha NS-1000M when compared to dozens of other loudspeakers.
The Yamaha NS-1000M speakers are sweet sounding and will not pose listening fatigue after hours of playing. True to its abbreviation(NS for Natural Sound) and (M for Monitor), the Yamaha NS-1000M has a very realistic aspect that transports the listener to a live performance without little harshness and colorations. The midrange and top end on the Yamaha NS-1000M are first class. The treble is accurate and detailed, very much like a good electrostatic. The bass is live and deep, and if supported with boundary reinforcement, they can rival with the top end speakers with prices at around tenfold. The imaging is superb, and the positions of singers and instrumentalists can be visualized without much effort. The Yamaha NS-1000M are speakers that will never fail to impress audiophiles with its finest materials and exceptional sound quality.
