The Talk Electronics Saxon A700 is based on a fully complimentary Bi-polar Darlington output devices. Uniquely designed with a dual mono power amplifier section, it sets new standards on dynamism and resolution. Using ultra-high-current power supplies, it demonstrates an impressive ability to drive even the most demanding of loudspeakers. The Talk Electronics Saxon A700 is hand-built using a 1.2mm steel chassis and 10mm extruded military-grade aluminum front panel, carefully designed to cater for its ultra-short signal paths. The increased resolution of transients, coupled with finely etched detail allows a stunning level of realism and scale. Extensive conventional wiring is eliminated and results in an exceptional price-to-performance ratio.
As with all Saxon amplifiers, great dynamics are to be expected. But most will be surprised with the high-level of subtlety and deftness that also abounds from the Talk Electronics Saxon A700. Vocals in particular are projected with a sense of space and solidity that allows all the musical nuances to be felt and experienced. The background noise is negligible and the volume does not be wicked up for accurate and detailed retrieval. The amplifier controls the speakers very well and they sound effortlessly open with great imaging and staging. The bass is tightly controlled, solid and tuneful with good bottom extension. When integrated into a quality hi-fi system, the Talk Electronics Saxon A700 creates a truly musical toe-tapping experience.
