Description :
Lustraphone is a British microphone manufacturer famous for its broadcast quality microphones, mainly for the amateur, semi-pro and PA industries including BBC. Lustraphone is primarily known for its microphone products but have decided to compete with other high quality amplifiers to diversify with their audio engineering expertise. With that direction in mind, they have manufactured and designed the Lustraphone LP100. The exterior is largely comprised of silver casing with 6 main controls on the front panel. It has an estimate power output of 40 watts per channel. The 'slew-rate' defines the speed at which the amplifier responds to input signals. The quoted slew-rate of the LP100 is 4V per micro-second into 8 ohms. In other words, if a square wave is applied to the input, the vertical sides of the square will be virtually free from slope. Sound quality wise, the Lustraphone LP100 is a smooth sounding amplifier with a lovely, sweet sound and styling. It is a capable amplifier taking straightforward and simplistic approach to design.
