The Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista interconnects uses POCC (Pure Ohno Continuous Cast) wire, silver for the interconnects. The ideal characteristics of an interconnect cable are very low resistance, very low capacitance, effective screening, and rejection of RF (radio frequency) interference. The Nu-Vista interconnects have very low resistance and capacitance. The design of these interconnects incorporates effective screening, with three screens in use. In addition, Nu-Vista interconnect cables are fitted with RF clamps which are an innovation of Musical Fidelity. The RF clamps are not in the signal path, their function is solely to absorb any RF signals. Nu-Vista interconnects are fitted with locking phono plugs, with a screw fitting which can be turned on the outer sleeve of the plug, to make it grip the phono socket on the amplifier. The Nu-Vista interconnects itself is a bit bright, not very full in the bass, but works well in the right settings. Overall, it is considered very good value as the buyer is getting a well made, well shielded silver cable for not a lot of money. It sounds less agressive than Nordost, and matches well with all Musical Fidelity systems. Not surprisingly, it works very well with Musical Fidelity gear, balancing its richness so long as the speakers and room are not already too bright. However, if the system needs to wake up a bit or a bit more zip, the Nu-Vista interconnects is a good move.
