Description :
The Coda CSI Balanced is one of the few high-end integrated amplifiers with a whooping power output of 330 watts at 8 ohms and 600 watts at 4 ohms. On the inside, the amplifier is built with a huge 2KVA toroidal transformer and 80,000uF Black Gate storage/filter caps for power supply section that allows to drive low sensitivity speakers at ease. It also has an inbuilt Class A operation at 5 watts. State-of-the-art, remote-controlled "seperates" performance with the added benefit of balanced audio inputs for even greater audio quality. Analytical design techniques, both objective and subjective, were applied in an open-minded fashion with musical perfection as the goal.
The Preamplifier section derived from the Coda 05X design, utilizing the Burr-Brown digitally-controlled precision analog attenuator. Component upgrades include PRP audio resistors, Black Gate and Multicap capacitors, and high speed rectifiers for the preamp power supply. The CSI Balanced features a wide range of design topologies and components ported from the both the the broad lineage and the most recent advances in the Coda products and design topologies.
As with most current solid state high end class A/B biased design, the Coda CSIB is incredibly quiet with virtually no noise. The tonal balance is well judged and strictly neutral, in keeping with today's high end amplifier design trend. The top end, is smooth, grain free and generally tidy if not the most extended. The mids are uncoloured and will present vocals in a very clean and sibilant free manner. The bass is clean and free from note to note smearing.
