Description :
The Eminent Technology LFT-8B is the floorstand version of the LFT-16. With long ribbon panels for the mids and highs, and an 8 inch woofer that can reproduce music as low as 25Hz that you won't even need considering a subwoofer. The LFT-8B versions come with an inbuilt super tweeter upgrade. As normal tweeters can reach a frequency of 20kHz, the new super tweeters allow the high frequency to reach 50kHz. This upgrade allows the sound to be even more natural. String instruments like violins when being played, their extensions slowly fade into the background rather than an abrupt cut off. These pair of speakers are very musical and sound airy that can fill large rooms spaces. They give a long lasting impression of a hall concert effect. It's musical quality and wide frequency range allows you to play the most difficult classical music pieces at ease.

Eminent Technology has been estanlished since 1982 and now has a history spanning about 40 years in creating innovative products in the audio field. In 1985 Eminent Technology began developing planar magnetic loudspeakers and in 1987 introduced the worlds first full range push-pull planar magnetic loudspeaker. Since then Eminent Technology has continued to advance its loudspeaker technology and has introduced a number of new models including the first planar magnetic computer multimedia speaker. The Monsoon flat panel computer multimedia speakers were based on Eminent Technology patents.
Though the designed for music, you can use a pair of LFT-8B for the front, a pair of LFT-16 as the rear and LFT-12 as the center to form an excellent home theatre system - Great sound and cinema hall effects
Ribbon speakers are well known for their airy sound properties that are similar to wide soundstage hall like sound. Also, ribbon speakers provide very little discoloration in the sound reproduced. That is...the sound is as close as natural. That is why other similar ribbon speakers like the Apogee's and Magneplaners are so famous.
