The Airtight ATC-2 is a true, no-holds-barred, reference line stage. As with all Air Tight electronics, the ATC-2 is designed without printed circuit boards and is hand wired, point-to-point, for the purest signal path imaginable. It simply disappears, leaving nothing but music behind. High End Audio just doesn't get any better than this! Unlike mass production chassis (assembled from iron plates), Air Tight amplifier and pre-amplifier chassis are fashioned from a single sheet of steel, which is bent and welded at four corners, and coated with several layers of enamel. This method of construction offers superior rigidity, low mechanical noise, low susceptibility to induced currents, as well as superior cosmetics. Such quality construction and assembly also yields greater transparency, dynamic range, transient definition and rhythmic balance to the resulting sound.
