Description :
The ProAc Response 2 can be thought of as little sister of the Response 3 flagship. Unlike the Response 3, the smaller ProAc has no internal cavity to fill with sand. To get the best bass out of the Response Two means using just the right stands. The Response 2 speakers are considerably very good speakers. They do not have the typical audiophile sound. The amusical quirks and finicky demands and glaring weaknesses that audiophiles expect are absent in the Response 2s. These speakers gives the listener the same tight, holographic imaging. Set up well away from the side and rear walls, the ProAcs just simply disappear, leaving behind an ambient soundfield that changes very little with head movement. Sit on the floor and the Response 2s still sound fantastic. This freedom of listening position just may be the secret of the ProAcs' success. The listener is freed of having to situate to focus and subconsciously relax more with the Response 2s.
