STATUS - SOLD Click here for more pictures Description : This Plinius M8 preamplifier is designed to match with its current P10 power amplifier model. The M8 has superb performance, using existing traditional Plinius attributes such as low noise, low distoration JFET input circuitry and rid of the shortcomings of previous Plinius preamplifiers. Five source components including both balanced and single ended connection for CD are found in M8. The power supply does offer low impedance, allowing the audio circuitry to serve best. It best performs at loud antisocial volume levels and delivers the kind of kick and clarity few rivals can match. While playing loud, it is still detailed, transparent and extremely agile. This fast exciting combo thrives on hard-charging beats and complex rhythms. Tonally, the Plinius has just a hint of top-end brightness, but matched with something refined and transparent, you'll get an impressive and wonderful sound that's hard to beat for the money. The M8 & P10 combo most impressive strength is bass replay: the low frequencies are taut and tuneful, yet pack a hefty punch. At low volumes too, there's plenty of finesse and fine stereo-imaging. That being said it has a lean balance which means system matching has to be careful.
