The Pre-5 is a preamplifier that provides high quality 2-channel inputs and outputs. It's special feature is that it also provides one set of 6-channel inputs and outputs, to cater to the need to connect the processed 5.1 surround sound through this preamplifier. It offers a unique, minimalist path to home theater performance in an ultra hi-fidelity package, the Pre-5 has no internal digital processing. Instead, this all-analog pre-amp features the highest quality semi-conductor parts laid out in a fully symmetrical design, with 5.1 analog RCA inputs for straight forward DVD or DVD-A SACD connection yielding the purest possible audio performance.
