Description :
The Esoteric Audio Research 519 valve monoblocs have been in continuous production since the late 1970's, and like the 549's, are used by studios as well as discerning audiophiles. If you have not heard of them before, this is probably because Tim de Paravacini does not mess around with a successful design - so they are no longer newsworthy. Each monobloc uses 2 pentode output valves, giving a healthy 100 watts plus per channel. Tim de Paravacini's real strength is in transformer design, and the output transformers are massive. The amps are of rack-mount design and packed with real muscle, and deep, firm bass, but capable of great finesse as well.
