The Conrad-Johnson DR-1 is a compact disc transport that provides for accurate reading of data for the cd on a stable platform. That is the reason for it being housed in a sturdy, mass-loaded chassis. Also due to this ingenious design, the DR-1 operates smoothly at virtually no noise. The DR-1 has a sophisticated crystal-controlled "reclocking" circuit that reduces jitter by an order of magnitude. The DR-1 is manufactured with utmost care to enable a musically rewarding experience from digital sources, offering depth and focus of soundstage, tonal accuracy and ability to reproduce details in music otherwise not noticeable on cds.
