The Vienna Acoustics products are designed and manufactured with a Viennese heritage of musical excellence that blends technology to the service of music. While music serves as inspiration, the sonic results present in all Vienna Acoustics loudspeakers is the result of painstaking technical research. Their product models are named to famous musicians in history like Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Strauss, etc. The Bach Grand is the smallest floorstanding loudspeaker from Vienna Acoustics. It is a compact floor standing speaker which can produce big sound in a musically satisfying way. The Bach Grand is a diminutive 2-way design with a 7” X3P mid-bass driver, and a 1” triple stacked neodymium silk dome tweeter mounted in a unique bass reflex port assembly. This cast assembly incorporates a wedge-shape tweeter-mounting block that additionally serves to control the movement of air through the throat of the heavily flared port. All Vienna Acoustics speakers are handcrafted in beautiful wood finishes that define their beautiful aesthetics. They are purposefully designed by employing a wide variety of real wood grade veneer materials and assembly techniques for perfection. When played, the Bach Grand's centering and imaging was outstanding and they also produced an excellent, full soundstage. They also produced impressive, punchy bass for such a small speaker and they look great. The really surprising thing was how they handled heavier rock and fusion recordings without distorting. In the Audio Show in 2006, Vienna Acoustics only demoed their little Bach Grand in a naked room powered by Cyrus electronics. It looked like they wanted to make a point. Their point was well made! The Bach Grand made music, was coherent, enjoyable and definitely high end. This is how audio is liked - great sounding, affordable and easy to integrate in a real-life living room.
