The Edwards Audio Apprentice SP is an all new design, unusual in that the 13 litre cabinet has been made as a small floor standing design which makes for a very acceptable cosmetic appearance with very little domestic intrusion and with out the need for an ugly metal stand. It has an optional plinth for improved stability. Finished in either a real wood, natural Cherry veneer or a satin Black or white finish means that it will blend in with almost any style of décor. Performance is right up there with a big open stereo stage and a fast musical bass performance that belies its diminutive scale. Due to the front port design to allows for very easy room positioning without the common bass delay problems that mess up the timing of performance. All in all this is a very high quality performer in all areas and will no doubt become a long term favourite in the industry. At the recent Hi-Fi News show in Windsor on its first outing we received many comments with one awarding it best affordable system at the show. Rear panel connections are single wire 4mm binding posts.
