The stereo Super Audio CD and CD player SA7001 underlines the heritage of Marantz for high quality two channel audio reproduction. For playback that captures musical nuance and reproduces wide sound stage with no extra or missing information, we applied experience-extensive expertise in making faster, low-noise and lower impedance symmetric circuits with high quality parts. The SA7001 expresses the Marantz dedication to the purest reproduction of musical emotion!

For the Marantz SA7001, it includes a newly developed toroidal transformer, large capacity block capacitor, film capacitors and electrolical(sic) capacitors, copper coated chassis and high grade audio output terminal. When fully warmed up and tested, the SA7001 is crisp and detailed with plenty of attack and speed. Music is taut and well controlled but not stifled, in a well rendered acoustic that places performers with good clarity and focus. Tonally it’s relatively smooth throughout, with just a touch of leanness through the midrange and bass. Overall CD performance is good. All it needs is a touch more air in the upper reaches and a little warmth in the lower midrange and bass, where it can sound a bit cold and sterile. On SACD, the Marantz has a sense of space and solidity that Redbook CD on the same player cannot match. Music flows more naturally, on a greater sense of scale and vitality. Transparency, resolution and naturalness all ramp up by several notches.
