Musical Fidelity represents the best of British hifi. It had won worldwide praise from the earliest amplifiers to their latest digital designs; every one expertly engineered, promising natural, authentic sound. The Musical Fidelity MA50, released in 1985, is a classic and fantastic sounding amplifier. It operates in class A, has a powerful power supply, and both channels are wired up in parallel that give 50W per channel. The power amplifier runs hot after some time so it is not recommended to stack anything on top as they may trap the heat and cause damage to internal components. These amplifiers will not default to class AB when the going is not required. Sonically it may not sound powerful, but the Musical Fidelity MA50 is capable of giving a beautiful sound quality with great detail, depth, stereo imaging and subtlety.
