The Marantz CD-16D is a slimmer elegant looking version of the Marantz CD-16 which is designed to be a replacement for the iconic Marantz CD-10. The CD-16D utilises a Philips CDM12.1 lens instead of a Philips CDM4 which is used in the CD-16. The player can unlock the power, the excitement and the emotion of music. Its technical excellence means the components have the ability to communicate the scale, timbre, pitch and dynamics and the very essence of a recording. Looks wise, it succeeds with full brushed gold fascia and covers. It comes with balanced output, the CDM-12.1 drive and carries digital-input/output terminals. Sonically, the Marantz CD-16D draws listeners to the music, reproduce in exactly the way the artists intended. It is hauntingly beautiful, and feels like a veil has been lifted from the music. Soundstaging is superb, and musicians can be visualized on the soundstage without much effort.
