The Naim Audio Uniti combines the integrated amplifier, CD player, DAB/FM tuner, Internet radio, iPod dock, digital-to-analogue converter, music file player and network stream player into an equipment with legendary Naim musical quality, engineering integrity, design sophistication and interface know-how. Naim Audio Uniti can be connected to a home network, via its Ethernet port or WiFi wireless receiver, at which point it is open to play streaming audio from internet radio, or more locally from a UPnP server at home. The front has a swing CD door and it requires a magnetic puck to sit on top of any inserted CD. The right side of the front has a 6.3cm display and to the right of the display sits three rows of three control buttons. The back is a maze of connections. However they are all grouped into sections with each area outlined to show what is likely to be connected where. The Naim Audio Uniti's Ethernet connection allows direct connections to any Network Storage Device (NAS) and if this goes into a router it also enables connection to the World Wide Web and therefore allows access to the thousands of Internet radio stations. Presets are available so the user can store a couple of FM, DAB and Internet radio frequency channels.

The Naim Audio Uniti was astonishingly good: tight, tuneful, and very explicit, yet also capable of almost breathtaking musical beauty. The Uniti exhibited Naim Audio's traditional musical strengths: almost peerlessly good timing and pitch relationships, and excellent momentum. It has an apparent enduring lack of timing distortion. Bass depth and control were excellent and gave full weight and color to bass pedals. The strings had much texture and glow, and the Naim Audio Uniti further surprised with its good sense of hall "sound" and the spatial relationships among the players. It was consistently satisfying and engaging. The force and surprisingly meaty tone of snare drums came through convincingly, and the Uniti allowed the warmth and humanness of the voices. The Naim Audio Uniti remains among the most intelligent, exciting, and altogether recommendable products that the perfectionist audio industry has produced in ages.
