The Sonus Faber Electa are beautiful speakers, handcrafted with excellent woodwork and stiff cabinet. The speakers are strikingly beautiful with superb Italian walnut construction to form an aesthetically pleasing, non-resonant cabinet. The Electa's panache is impressive. The way it balances every aspect of speaker performance in the same way that it addressed the speaker's physical presentation. The latter is so remarkable that the Electa's beautiful cabinetry overshadows its actual performance, the mouthwatering visuals being so striking that most Electas are probably sold on asthetics alone. Fortunately, the speakers are not just a pretty face. They match their performance so utterly musical that any inherent weaknesses are rendered insignificant in overall. Strangely though, the design of the Sonus Faber Electa speakers are not mirror image. Both sides of their tweeters are designed on the left side.
The Sonus Faber Electa has the capability to swing with the music, to respond to the power of the music without breaking up and it can deliver the high levels and a huge soundstage which belie its size. Midrange and highs are detailed, sweet and clear without being harsh. The bass is deep and tuneful with excellent bass extension for its size. The Sonus Faber Electas sound excellent on vocals, acoustic guitar, strings and instrumental music. The Electas sound best on elegant recordings with only few instruments. The sound quality of Electas is also partially dependent on the size of the room. The more spacious the room, the more stunning they sound. The Electa's ability to combine beauty and realism together makes it one of the highly sought after all-around speakers available.
