The Densen BEAT B-400 CD player is the culmination of several years of research. It takes a minimalistic philosophy in its design. The transport itself is custom-made, with a special glassoptic laser, and the cabinet is extremely rigid to protecting the mechanism against airborne vibrations. The motherboard is built from the ground up by Densen engineers, and contains upgradable software. The communication between motherboard and converter is done through the company's own databus, which, together with highly advanced clock circuitry, ensures that there is no measurable jitter. The upgradable DA converter employs separate converters for each channel and HDCD filtering, while the analog stage is a non-feedback class A amplifier.
The Denson BEAT B-400 is a fast and detailed player, combined with a real control in the midrange, having a deep and subtle bass, and smooth and open treble. It plays CDs with excellent dynamics and opens up the music with precise instrument separation. The tonal balance is very direct, and is sometimes on the bright side. The stereo imaging of the player is sharp and stable, and the image is clearly placed outside the speakers. The Denson BEAT B-400 CD player comes with extreme musicality, military precision in mounting and soldering, easy upgradability, and pleasing looks that give other players a tough competition.
