The McIntosh MC2125 is produced around 1976 as the first line of McIntosh power amplifiers to feature the Power Guard, a switchable anti-clipping circuit for high output levels. It has an aesthetically pleasing design with the highest quality components. The front chassis is anodized gold and black, decorated with traditional McIntosh self illuminating faceplate and blue VU meters. Other than the primary functions, there are connectors and controls for output mode lamps, barrier strips, power guards. The McIntosh MC2125 sounds warm, with amazing bass extension especially the drums that play with powerful slams. It has a massive sound stage, tight image and revealing inner detail. The amplifier runs silently in the background with zero hum and noise, allowing no extra noise with the music. It is a highly musical, mellow and beefy equipment and one of the best sounding power amplifier in the market. The McIntosh MC2125 is truly a beautiful vintage amplifier that really brings music to life.
