The Sound Anchor B&W 801N stands are designed to extract all of the performance that the B&W 801 Nautilus speakers have to offer. Though the speakers are awesome on it's own but they can easily overload most rooms with it's deep powerful bass. The Sound Anchor stands help to lessen the room interface problems which come up. When on the speakers are on the Sound Anchor stands, the most noticeable improvements is the bass becomes more tight, and more articulated. The mids and highs are also improved substantially when the speakers are elevated. Raising the speaker puts the listener below the axis with the tweeter and more in line with the midrange driver. This presents a more musical balance between these two drivers. The Sound Anchor 801 Nautilus stands come from the factory filled with proprietary filling that has been optimized to eliminate unwanted resonance. So there is no need to mess with sand or shot.
