Description :
The Roksan Ojan 3 loudspeaker is introduced in 1993 and appeared in the Hifi Choice Magazine in 1994 as one of the recommended speakers. It is a pair of speakers with wide soundstage. A two-way reflex loaded design, it is unusual in a number of ways, not least in its use of a decoupled high frequency unit baffle. It has long been Roksan's belief that in order to reproduce pure undistorted HF signals the tweeter must be entirely free of physical disturbance, hence the novel application of a suspended HF driver in its original Darius loudspeaker. In the Ojan 3 the decoupling is similarly managed in such as a way as to maintain constant correct geometrical alignment with the LF driver. The cabinet is made from 18mm Medite (MDF) and has four internal bracing panels. Its unusual shape is intended to minimize internal standing waves and the bass/midrange driver is mounted on its own sub-baffle. A bottom chamber is included to allow the user to add mass-loading such as sand or lead shot.
