Description :
The Creek Destiny produces world class audio performance, through its use of discrete analogue MOS-FET circuitry which was first developed for Creek's amplification products in 1993. A major improvement in the Destiny over earlier Creek amplifiers has been in the area of separating power supply and voltage referencing circuitry for each channel. Dedicated windings on the new and up-rated mains transformer achieves >100 Watts into 8 Ohm operation. The Creek Destiny amplifier uses a microcontroller that controls the protection of the amplifier and ancillary products under fault conditions. Protection of the amplifier under fault conditions is facilitated by an array of sensors and precision measurement circuits feeding-back information to the microcontroller. It monitors the amplifier constantly for over-temperature, over-current, DC offsets and power supply status and remote control commands. The casework design uses heavy, custom extruded, aluminium sections which bolt together to make a very rigid and elegant structure. Control knobs and buttons, machined and polished by computer aided manufacturing techniques achieve a very high quality finish. As for sound characteristics, it is pristine, extended, and detailed on high frequencies with no trace of hardness, and a purity and delicacy that is similar to pricier Jeff Rowland Design Group products. The rendering of low-level dynamic articulation and subtleties that's similar of expensive tubed gear, and a powerful sense of high-level dynamic slam, with the right recordings, could be startling. It has superb rendition of inner detail across the frequency spectrum, combined with abilities to render hall sound, image specificity, and ambience that rivaled much more expensive sets.
