Beam-Echo Ltd.,were London,U.K. based manufacturers of good quality, HI-FI audio equipment.Most of this equipment went into collections some years ago,but occasionally,examples of this attractively designed range still turn up.The SPA21 HI-FI tube(valve) amplifier,made in 1959 , is described by Beam-Echo as "a two-channel amplifier designed to provide the highest quality steriophonic and monophonic sound reproduction.Each channel provides a rated output of 12 watts and a 3D facility is provided to combine these outputs when the amplifier is used in conjunction with monophonic inputs.The output tubes used are EL84’s.The integral control section is extremely flexible and incorporates every facility to compensate for deficiencies in inputs.Total harmonic distortion is less than 0.2% at 1000c’s,10 watts output.The mains supply requires is 110-117,220-250 volts AC.
